Trendy location, tick. Trendy decor, tick. Trendy food, tick. On top of that a great Pablo and Rusty’s brew. White Taro dishes out some fancy Vietnamese fusion fare. We had a Deconstructed Banh Mi and the Bo Kho Baked Eggs washed down with a flat white making a satisfying brunch.
The Coffee
The White Taro barista certainly did justice to the Pablo and Rusty bean. The coffee was creamy with a hint smooth nuttiness, mildly reminiscent of an 80s love song.
The Food
The Bo Kho Baked Eggs are an interesting combination which works really well. The dish is so Sydney – Vietnamese Beef Stew (Bo Kho) in Shakhuka and a side of great coffee. The Banh Mi was fresh and the pork flavoursome.
The Verdict
In a place like Sydney it’s great that chefs and cafes blend influences and cuisines to create new dishes from global influences.
At the end of the day it is always a pleasure to be welcomed into this bright modern café, especially when the coffee is as immaculately prepared as the food.
